1. – Detonate // O2 Academy Sheffield – – (£39.93+)
The 02 Academy Sheffield are putting on a momentous New Years Eve event. It may be a little pricier than the others on the list, but there no doubt that it’ll be worth it. With 2 rooms of DJ’s, from the likes of Andy C, Wiley and Giggs, and a curfew of 5am, this is the event to head to if you want to bring in 2017 with a bang
2. – Gold Teeth // The Harley – – (£5)
The Harley, king of alternative events and club nights are joining up with Gold Teeth.
The venue is small, so prepare to get a bit sweaty, as this event is sure to be a sell out. With hip-hop, trap and garage blasting out until 4am, what’s not to love? To top it all off, it’s only a fiver!
3. – Peddler // 92 Burton Road – – (£18)
92 Burton Road is best known for being the home of Peddler Night Markets. But on the 31st Peddler Events will be putting on an evening of ska and reggae. The ticket will get you entry to the night, with performances from Sheffield’s own K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, Jungle Lion and Steel City Rhythm. If that doesn’t tempt you, there will also be food trucks from the likes of Fat Hippo’s and Smokin Blues, and your ticket gets you £5 off entry to The Night Kitchen after 2am.
4. – Girl Gang // The Great Gatsby – – (FREE)
Self proclaimed ‘over the top’ girl power event Girl Gang will be descending on The Great Gatsby with Nightowls. This is the perfect antidote to the colossal events at other venues, while also maintaining a bit of festive excitement and sparkle. Think glitter canons, all your favorite tracks from leading ladies and best of all free entry to ring in the New Year.
5. – New Year Double Drop // Hope Works – – (£10-18)

Throwing a bit of a curveball is burger restaurant Fear X Loathing, who are hosting their own free New Years Eve do with Sheffield’s favorite old school R&B night, Baby Got back.
