1. – Low Island // Mon. 5 June. // The Rocking Chair – – (£6)

Low Island, a four piece from Oxford, have not been on the scene for long but are already causing a stir with their unique sound. The handful of EP’s and singles that have been released bode very well for the band, combining relaxing electronica with bright and colorful melodies and thoughtful lyrics. The event is being put on by Scruff of the Neck, a music collective from Manchester. This gig will be the perfect way to spend your Monday night.

2. – Cassia // Sat. 10 June // Plug – – (£6)

Cassia are the epitome of summer indie pop. While they currently don’t have the largest repertoire, every single track is dripping with upbeat sunny beats and riffs. The gig features support from Graces and The Vellas and will be the perfect way to inject some summer into your weekend. With tickets only £6, what’s not to love?

3. – Kings Of Leon // Sat. 10 June // Sheffield Arena – – (£45)

Kings Of Leon are a band that require no introduction. With tracks like ‘Sex On Fire’ reaching almost legendary status, and 7 studio albums, they are placed firmly in the list of influential bands of the 20th century. Forming 17 years ago, they have been growing and morphing as aband, from dixie rock & roll to the classic indie rock of today. This band knows exactly how to put on a show, so you’re sure to be in for a real treat.
