Which are Sheffield’s best new venues? There have been some crackers open up over the last couple of years… But we think you should decide the best, not us! So we asked you to vote, and over 7000 did. Here then are Sheffielders’ picks of “Sheffield’s 10 Best New Venues”, along with a couple of Editor’s Picks.

And it seems there’s little better than getting together with friends or family and playing a few top-end board games… Other than doing it, whilst enjoying a stellar range of coffees, beers and beautifully-made light bites. The Treehouse was also voted one of Sheffield’s 10 Best Cafes by the people of Sheffield in 2018.

2 – BIRDHOUSE TEA BAR & KITCHEN

Large, modern two-floor cafe in a converted industrial space known for its terrific teas and cakes, healthy foods, and tea-infused cocktails.

3 – CHURCH – TEMPLE OF FUN

Spacious bar & gaming spot, owned by ‘Bring me the Horizon’ frontman, Oli Sykes. Known for its cocktails, vegan burgers and religious kitsch. Sheffielder, Jo Peck, says Church is a “top place for vegan and veggie food” with “good beers and gin selection” and a “balcony overlooking river which is nice on a hot evening”.

Located in the Castlegate area of the city centre, Kommune is the latest project from the team behind Tamper Coffee, Depot Bakery & Eatery, and Peddler Market… And it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
